Giza area containing Egypt's most
popular monuments, the Pyramids and
great Sphinx, is only 12km from Cairo.
The most convenient way
to get to the pyramids is by
taxi and once in Giza one finds the road
leading up to the pyramids
packed with hotels,
villas, nightclubs and restaurants.
Horse or camel riding is popular ways
to get around the pyramids and Sphinx
areas and to travel across the desert to see
several rarely visited pyramids as well as
the pyramids at Sakkara further south. |
